Physician to Physician Discussions > Suggestions on education material/books

My wife and I plan to open a "Medspa" in a couple of months. Although we will receive training through the company we are buying our laser from, this is all new to me and I want to educate myself as much as possible. There are hundreds of books on Amazon making it difficult to make a decision. I would appreciate it if anyone could give me recommendations on books for general cosmetic procedures as well as laser lipo.

Thanks

DS-- If you provide an e-mail address I can send you some excellent information to help you get started.

I'll give plug here for the medical spa training manuals; that Paula Young RN wrote and are available on this site.

I have a question that I wasn't covered well in my filler classes. I was told it would be covered in the "advanced" classes but I keep getting clients asking for it.

How do you turn the lips up at the corner. Not the injecting Botox in the chin thing, but putting the filler in the corners. Is it really to "advanced" that I need to go see it done and possibly have someone guide my hand or is there a good video out there that shows where to place the needle. I know it makes me sound like an idiot especially if it is really easy, but I hate doing anything I wasn't trained to do. I have looked on Youtube but the two or three videos I have found have bad angles and I just can't tell where the filler is going.

Please be honest if this is something I need superior guidance on. I have a great lip technique in general, but just can't seem to get the lip corners turned up.
