I'd recommend getting a Nikon D40. Great photos. Cheapest of the Nikon digital SLR line. You can adjust the flash output, as well, to avoid that problem, plus you can check the expsoure histograms easily right on the camera, to check your exposure.
what about a non SLR line. A small camera I can toss in the drawer, always ready to use without having to wrry is it charged or not. (my canon powershot sd870has an annoying rechargable battery that I have to take out and charge when it runs out).

Can anyone recomend a sub $300 digital camera that I my staff can use for pre and post pictures. No looking for professional, just a point and click that they have good experience with in your office. I use a old cannon but close ups keep getting flashed out, and when I turn the flash off, I get blurred shots
