“my right eye seems a tiny bit swollen and little discolored. My lashes on my right eye are now different from my left---sparser than the other eye and straight versus long. Can the laser affect eyelashes?”

This came today from a client who had her last Fractional 5/12/08. I'm perplexed. I used the eye shields Palomar sells for Fractional even though they're expensive for safety reason and fear something could damage the eye. If her eyes are cover with disposable shields as well as her eyelashes can Fractional be the problem?

She does Hot Yoga daily and I'm wondering if that is the culprit. She has gotten an infection once from this Yoga class. BCM)(

I had a patient tell me that her eyelashes fell out after doing an ActiveFx on her.

I got very close to the lash line, so I thought this was the reason.

A "lumenary" told me that this could happen.

I am interested in any other stories like this.

I have also had many patients tell me that a new blemish appeared after a laser treatment and when we checked their pre-treatment photo, the blemish was already there, they just had not noticed it. Sometimes the blemish WAS NEW!!!

Pre-treatment photos are SO IMPORTANT!!!
