I live in Canada and am considering purchasing a used Lightsheer Duet. I am concerned whether I will be able to obtain service (and parts), both preventative and when a problem occurs. I have been told by laser service techs who have contracts exclusively with Clarion, the distributor for Lumenis in Canada, that the high speed vacuum assisted head requires a special "key" to service and that Lumenis does not allow access to this key. As well, the Duet model of the Lightsheer is relatively new, and I am uncertain about availability of parts. I prefer not to have to pay for a brand new laser but don't want to be stuck with a used one I can't get serviced either. Have never bought used before, advice or service contacts appreciated.
