Physician to Physician Discussions > PRP Kit
Well I'm in Mexico and i could tell you that as long as you have any decent centrifugation machine, and a good technique you dont need any other expensive equipment than what they use in USA.
You should read some of the posts by the German authors on this site... some of them are discussing PRP in a little more detail. I'd also do a search since there are some other comment threads that are relevant.
I get good results with the Dracula system but the centrifuge is unreliable and keeps breaking down!
We ate currently looking at the Harvest system. Has anyone worked with Harvest? What is your experience with it?
I was approached recently about an opportunity of adding PRP to our aesthetic practice. Does this seem like a viable option to add to an aesthetic practice? We are currently using fillers, laser resurfacing as well as fractional laser treatments. Does PRP seem to produce superior results to the therapies above?
Medifuge C.G.F. is the optimal system
PRP seems a valuable option when comparing with mesotherapy. I'm performing mesotherapy but it's not an method officially supported with clinical papers and medical journals. But there are many journal articles about face rejuvenation with PRP pointing that good results. PRP's effects last longer but you can see the difference after procedure in 3 months. When comparing with the other methods it's effects last longer, support subcutis and prevents skin laxity. You can use it also in summer time and it's not cause any complications like hyper or hypopigmentation. Im looking for PRP based kits. I am currently researching and comparing the results of PRP with or without kits.
I have used PRP and ablative and non ablative lasers. These are different modalities of treatment. Nothing is superior over the other. I think they complement each other. In order to treat a face, you have to know how to mix filler with prp, or prp with microneedling with non cross linked HA. Lasers are very good in some medical areas but I think that laser will always burn tissue. As a plastic surgeon,I prefer to handle tissues the old fashion way. If you want younger, fresher, more hydrated and tight skin without any risk of complications, use PRP. I assure you, your patients will always be satisfied. Leave lasesr for photodamaged skin.
PRP is a huge benefit in ANY medical practice involving tissue and/or bone invasion, aesthetics is a definite area ripe for application. PRP (Platelet rich blood plasma) a concentrated source of autologous platelets, contains and releases several different growth factors and cytokines that stimulate soft tissue and bone healing among other attributes. However, there are many companies, many personal processes, many kits, varying use indications, varying costs, varying results. The majority of results are on the positive side for soft tissue regeneration, rejuvenation, and even bone healing.
We also use PRP for hair regrowth therapy. There are lots of studies on the benefits with and without implants and for facial rejuvenation we find PRP a big asset to our Medical Aesthetics company.
How effective is PRP with hair regrowth? Is it used with transplant or is it injected in areas of hair loss?
In my three years experience with PRP in hair regrowth, I could achieve good results in about 80% of cases, mainly postmenopausal women. PRP is injected in multiple punctures, spaced about 2 cm apart. But it should always be stated that it took two to three month for results to get noticed.
What PRP kit are you using in your clinic? Please share your experiences as I am
