Whatever you do, you do not want to have anything to do with Dermacare. They just went bankrupt and sued all of their franchisees... I'd suggest that you continue looking and learning before you make any decisions about who to do business with.

Back in 2004 when I was looking to open up I spent a year on the road traveling around the US and Canada visiting MediSpa's to gain an understanding of what works, what didn't and learned a great deal. We've been open since 2005 and my suggestion is to do the same. Don't rely on a Franchisor as so far in the US everyone of them has failed. Sure. Thanks for your help. Basically, I am a Family Physician and I'm currently working as a medical director of a Med Spa, (it’s not mine), I am just working there. We have a few machines; laser (Diode) Depilight, Facial Rejuvenation and few others not necessary.
I want to open up my own Medical Spa to do “mainly” Laser hair removal.
For advertising and marketing purposes, I want a strong international name to start my marketing as part of that well established company, not as “new” company. So basically, I need a well-established company to share their experience and name so we can start strong… If things go well, we might expand to more than one location and have multiple centers.

I have owned/run medical spas in the past. You can do a search on the site and find out more about me.
I would suggest that you don't act quickly. I would suggest that you go through and do a number of searches on starting a medical spa and learn what this will entail. I have never heard of any good experiences with ANY of the medical spa 'franchises' and I think that the best thing you can do is probably to go very slow and learn what it is going to take to actually run this kind of business... It's often the case that a doctors just want's to work in the business and have the 'marketing' and advertising done by someone else. This NEVER works. Ever. The only way to be successful is to actually know how the business works and to run the business yourself.
