I'd like to buy a used Sciton and would like to know if anybody can recommend a used laser dealer. I'd also like to have it serviced by a third party instead of Sciton so any recommendations for laser repair companies would be greatly appreciated. I am located in NYC. Thanks!

I have had some good dealings with Shawn Burkey in Florida and I know he deals with Sciton. His company is the laser warehouse.

LC: I'm not sure if Sciton makes their parts available to "outsiders". This is an important factor to consider before purchasing ANY used device.

Are you looking at just the BBL module or a multi-platform system???

Does anyone know about this? Also, does anyone know what Sciton's "certification/inspection fee" is and whether or not this fee includes a one year service agreement as some do??

Does anyone know of a used sciton profractional head and/or clearscan head for sale? We would like to have them available in our office on standby incase something happens with the ones in use.

I just found out that Sciton's inspection fee is $5000 which includes transfer of ownership so that you may then obtain any repairs you need directly from Sciton. You can pay for repairs as you need them or purchase a service contract. A one year service contract may only be obtained after they have decided that your unit is up to spec so if it needs any repairs, you will have to pay for these repairs first and then you may purchase the service contract, which depends on what you have on your unit.

Forgot to mention that I am looking for a used Sciton with BBL including SkinTyte and Er:Yag preferably with Profractional. Nd:Yag would be nice but not necessary so if anyone has a Sciton that they'd like to sell, please email me at laicheung114@yahoo.com

I got mine from SelectAestheticTechnologies. Very reputable guy,good consultative assistance,,, wasnt the cheapest ,, but to date good experience and great support. Also, had luck with Global..and Medical purchasing resources as well.. Stay away from medpro Mike Moreno.. and Justin Williams, or Karen Hawk. They have resurfaced under several companies and now have a new organziation.. lot of shady characters My partner got burned in the past on A Sction unit in Flordia

agreed! be careful as Scitons have huge cost to repair!!!! They are a service nightmare and parts are very expensive. These machines are well engineered however, Be sure to put what your saving aside "just in case" Laserdocmd..I also have a similar story on a lemon that we had to threaten and call numerous times to get it right...I cant believe these crooks keep resurfacing under all these different companies.. I got some stuff from an ex rep who sold us his demo unit...
