Medical Spa Business Forum > Medical Spa Success Data?
'Medical Spas" are so ubiquitous a term that they can literally be anything from a day spa with a visiting nurse, to locations with multiple docs and a staff of 50+. I've seen both and the only data that will be of use to this guy is the info that mimics his clinic. Any info out there won't be applicable in any narrow sense. For example new clinics often discount their pricing to try to get new patients.
There are business benchmarks that it looks as though you're referring to such as every employee needs to generate 4x their pay to be worth keeping etc. I would be interested in what others may think of these questions.
The answer to #3? Approx 30% if your spa provides it's own private labeled skin care products. If you're interested in private labeling I can put you in touch.
Can I find out the information you have on private labeling?

Do you have or know of where I might find some financial benchmarks for successful medical spas? In particular,
I'd like to find some financial benchmarks for:
1. marketing expenses as percentage of sales (I've heard 10-15% of sales)
2. HR/payroll as a percentage of sales (I've heard 20-25% of sales)
3. profit margins for specific services
4. revenue goals per dedicated room (injectables room, laser hair removal room, etc.)
5. discounts offered as percentage of sales
