IPL & Cosmetic Laser User Groups > help me with a huge decision

I am opening a new spa with an anti-aging specialist. We do all aspects of anti ageing. We are about to purchase the lasers for our practice I have researched this to the best of my ability. And we narrowed the field down to the Sciton and the Syneron and Candela I am comparing the Gentelmax and the ELOS against the jouile. This has been a long process and I feel thesev2 systems both offer me a good set of review streams they both can be purchased with a three year warranty. So for me I want to hear your long term results with these devises and your relationship with these companies. How is the support after the sale do you get what you paid for. Do you have experience working with their marketing teams. Did they help you succeed in attracting clients. Is this a good foundation for building your business.

If you have these machines how have revealed up. What are your operating expenses for consumables.
Do you think I have missed anything going into this. I was trained at NLI and also trained with Jeff Weston RN at elite M.D. and with Dr Patrick Bitter Jr. On the forever young BBL I have done over 100 hours of laser research. And then chose these two systems the goal was high quality hair removal a fractional laser and a strong ipl each company provided pre sales training and both were very good. The hard part for me is choosing the right laser for my spas need. I WOULD LOVE YOUR FEEDBACK!

Lance,

With regard to the GentleMax, I would check the FDA's MAUDE database. From when it first came out I have heard nothing but stories of patients being burned, as well as practitioners. I'm sure they may well have sorted out these issues by now, but you should be aware before purchasing a new system. Also, what will the system be worth once you purchase it? Granted, you will receive a three year warranty- who will service your system once it's out so of warranty? Are you willing to accept that your system will be nearly worthless in resale value after three years (after one year, but because you are looking at a three year warranty).

Syneron, Candela, and Sciton are all known for expensive parts and service. Syneron uses cheap parts for its systems. Sciton uses gold parts for it's systems, so they are nearly impossible to service third party. I don't know how much research you've done, but if you ended up with these three choices my first assumption would be that your research was biased, or you had already decided on looking at just these three. If that's not the case- I would continue my research before purchasing.

We went Sciton jouile no regrets no lolimitations
