We have had a Sandstone Ultralight Q Nd:Yag laser for tattto removal since 2008. We paid $30k for it and generated only about $22k in income from it so far. It has already been repaired once (under warrenty) and is no longer working. Of course, the company wants to charge thousands of dollars to evaluate and potentially repair the handpiece (just a guess) or charge $17K to upgrade to their new machine (faster but same wavelengths). The technology is crappy to begin with. It only worked for black tatttos despite their claims that it would get other colors. I think we are done with laser tattoo removal completely. We could potentially trade-in the broken down machine for another one of their products but they all see like cheap garabage. Any recommendations?
