Does anyone have recommendations for treating nail fungus with the Candela Gentle Yag?

Per Cutera can treat nail fungus with the Laser Genesis (Yag). We have not tried to treat nail fungus, but you maybe able to get the settings cutera uses from their website.

Sara,

Do a search on this site for Yag for Onychomichosis (i think I spelled that right :/)

There is a conversation speaking of settings using other lasers, but all Yags at a specific fluence and spot size are equal.

Cutera makes an ND Yag that can treat toe nail fungus as well as warts. Look at www.cutera.com. I have been using this in my practice, have trained podiatrists who are happier with the genesis plus than the pinpoint. I have also sucessfully treated plantars warts with the system.

Do you need to remove the nail prior to treating with laser?

I understand the LightPod Forte from Aerolase has a aircooled, portable and powerful laser 318j/cm2 and is getting excellent results for onychomycosis.
