Sciton Joule is a far better platform that Palomar 500.1)It is less costly for the doctor (actually it has NO consumables) and for the patient. 2)It gives you better results , 3) It is more powerful.
Cynthia,
First I think the Sciton Joule is a fantastic unit. But I also think the Palomar 500 is a great one too. So the real question for you is what types of procedures you are planning to perform. If you are looking to use an ablative fractional system; there is no better than the Sciton. If you are looking for a fast yag for hair and vessels, Sciton would be the best choice in my opinon. If you are looking for a workhorse for hair removal and photo rejuvenation; I belive that the Palomar 500 would be the best choice. I am no expert on laser assisted lipo. But if you wanted a one system works for all approch; the Sciton would have to be the choice. Palomar does charge a $100 per patient for it's Slim Lipo system and I dont believe that Sciton does. I think you would be well served to use either one of these systems.
