As I understand it, NXT is indeed faster (by ~20%) and has better erognomics. Currently the TC is able use all the current generation tips, but as my rep told me that there is going to be a new ?16cm DC tip which only the NXT is powerful enough to run. So I think it may be worth while to hold off until the new size tip comes out before upgrading.
The Body Giant tip needs the NXT to work, so if you're buying with a longer term outlook, get the NXT. As for speed, I don't think it makes that much of a difference if you're an experienced Thermage physician
I'd make sure that you really need the added speed of the Thermage NXT before you upgrade. You can pay for a lot of technician time for the price difference. I'd consider it if you're treatment rooms are absolutely stuffed and the time = lost revenue. Otherwise, hold of the Thermage.
