Cosmetic IPL Laser Reviews & Comparisons > Cutera Meeting Wednesday...I have an idea Co-Bloggers

I would like to try something with everyone who posts here if you're interested. Taking networking to entirely new level...lol.

Our new clinic is still under construction, as a result, the last few months of my life have been filled to the brim with meetings with laser and skincare reps. I have about two demos a week scheduled for the next few weeks with companies that are constantly being covered on this message board.

Laser reps hate me because as soon as they sit down I launch into my pre-prepared binder of 'questions and concerns' I have about their technology. (I do my research..lol) I have to thank so many of you because I cut and paste a lot of your comments into my inquiry and bring up questions and comments some of you have raised. It has really given me an upper hand during these meetings, so thank you all!

I would like to post the days of these meetings I'll be having and leave it open that if any of YOU would like me to bring up any questions that YOU have...I'd be more than happy to ask the rep that day and post his/her answers as follow-up. You can live vicariously through me! LOL...

For example...I have a 'information' meeting with Cutera tomorrow. We'll discuss what technologies they have, what we'd be interested in, and when to schedule our 'demo day'. I do believe he is bringing at least one platform and I have a back up model scheduled in case we get to do some hands on.

We all have questions, so I'd be more than happy to pass yours along to Cutera and get back to you on Thursday/Friday.

I also have a 6 hours demo scheduled this Saturday with Alma. We are auditioning the Harmony platform and the Soprano...So, I welcome any questions about those units too.

(future meetings are with the mineral makeup companies Colorescience, Youngblood, and the line Cosmedix)

Midwest,

I'd be interested to know how your meeting went with Cutera.
Regarding Alma, or any IPL for that matter, you need to know the lamp life for each IPL handpiece and cost to replace. For example, one IPL gets 20,000 pulses and cost 5K to replace, and the other gets 100,000 and cost 5K to replace. If you looked at a scenario where you put 100,000 pulses on each handpiece it would cost $25,000 over that time as opposed to 5K for the latter. That is a difference of 20K to your bottom line. Plus lower pulse count lamps will show degredation of energy much sooner.

Hi

I am sure you have opened your clinic by now. I would be interested to know which laser you eventually bought and the reason for your decision.

Thanks

I would also love to hear the outcome also, as well as see a copy of the questions you asked! ranelle@hallandwyre.com

Thanks!
