When was the last time your unit had a Preventive Maintenance performed? Has the power output been checked within the past 6 months? If your settings are clinically accurate, and you are not receiving the desired result, you should first ensure a PM has been performed within the past 6 months. More often than not it is the laser, and not the settings.
I meant 2 passes for my original post. The unit just had maintenance 2 weeks ago.
If you are treating skin types I, II and III, your settings are likely to low and your pulse width too long . Better setting are 36j and 15ms. The more usage of the hand piece, the less effective the lamp. Adjust the energy accordingly. If you are spot treating pigmented lesions, use their white masks to mask out the lesions.

I have been getting less than stellar results treating hyperpigmentation spots on the face using the Lux G handpiece. I am thinking that my settings are inadequate. On my first tx, I have been using 30 ms and 32 joules with 2 pieces. Any suggestions on how I can tweak my settings?
