Does anyone know when Reloxin is suppose to come out? would the dosing be the same? what do you think.... will you be switching over?

They said it would be out last year now they are saying in 2009. As far as dosing, it is different than Botox I can't remember the ratio but you inject more "units" of Reloxin per area.

At this time, I do not plan to switch. It apparently has no benefit over Botox. I have heard it will be priced about the same as Botox as well as it does not last any longer. I have talked to a few docs that have had exposure to it and they feel it may not last quite as long as Botox.

If you dose it right and actually know how to inject it it definitely lasts longer. We did the FDA trials so had lots of experience with injection technique and dosing. Using it 3:1 to botox units (same dilution) leads to faster action and increased longevity. Also the volume discounts give a huge price difference over Botox.

dc: can you explain some more? what volume are you diluting the dysport 150u to? then how many units of dysport are you using for a typical moderate glabellar region versus botox? are you using it on the lower face too or are you concerned re: dispersion?

dispersion is not an issue if you dilute it right. Basically, dilute it the same way you would dilute your botox with preserved saline, and use 3x the units in the same area, due to the dispersion you can use a few more injection sites (within glabellar) with smaller per injection dosing. I assume you are using the 300u dysport vial, so if you dilute the same as botox you actually inject the same volume of diluted product when using dysport.
