Had a great training with our Botox Rep/RN today. Playing with Juvederm and Cosmoplast. I have had my lips augmented on three separate occassions. !. Restalyne 2. Cosmoplast 3. Today: start with Cosmoplast in the vermillion border (with dental block) and Juvederm in the body of the lip. I have to say...BIG DIFFERENCE..I LOVE IT.

Is anyone else using this protocol? If so, are you charging a different price with the Cosmoplast border? Timewise are you scheduling 45 minutes for dental block and procedure?

Here's what I like...

1. Juvederm lasts 6-9 months (hypothetically...I'll report back on mine...lol)

2. The Cosmoplast in the border made a HUGE difference. I'm not kidding. I'm really cynical/skeptical about this, and I was extremely pleased.

3. Perfect scenario....you inject Patient A with the appropriate Botox treatment on day one and augment lips with Juvederm body and Cosmoplast border. By the time they come in 3-4months later for Botox...they are due for a refresh on the Cosmo border.

Who's doing this and what do you deem appropriate to charge for the Midwest?

If applicable...I am a digital junkie and could post my pics to show everyone the difference the vermillion border fill can make.

Would love all of your inputs. I am very excited with my results.

Also had three very shallow chicken pox marks filled with Juvederm. Non-existant now. Instant gratification...lol.

Do you like Juvederm better than Restylane?

I have been using only Juvederm for the past 3 years and it is far superior to Restylane. It is smoother, doesn't swell and lasts longer than Restylane. My patients love it as well.

How much longer do you feel it lasts in the lips?

I have been using restylane but would like something that seems softer in the lips and prefer that it lasts longer.

Why not just use the Juvederm in the border? It is an HA it should work at least as well as the Restylane.

Has anyone seen any good training videos for infra-orbital injections with Restylane or Juvederm for deep tear troughs?
