Injectable Treatments: Botox & Filler Injections > Botox Shipping Delay-Advice
They are always shipped in a box with dry ice. I am not sure what your concern is?
My concern is it is longer than the 24 hours that the dry ice keeps it cold. And without knowing it is kept cold after that dry ice is melted, how long is it still good for if not kept cold? I've never not had a shipment come in on time so am worried this could be ruined?
Wait for the Botox to come in and if all of the dry ice is gone then I would ask Allergan to ship the same quantity to you and ship the other back. If you can not guarantee the quality then do not use it.
I wouldnt worry assuming this was genuine allergan botox. The box is very well packed in thick styrofoam and below the vial is a block of dry co2. Recently I did a little experiment and took out the botox and resealed the box. After 48 hours the co2 was indeed a lot smaller but the box was still icy cold.
Just so you know, due to bad weather, my Botox shipment was delayed. I called Allergan and they said the Botox would last 5 days at 80F and WOULD NOT take back the Botox. Luckily, due to further weather delay, the shipment arrived 6 days from the time it was shipped and I duly returned it. I don't know what I would have done if it had arrived within the 5 day limit Allergan has.
Hello,
So we ordered some botox yesterday and first time we have experienced this but it is delayed due to weather according to fedex and is now scheduled for delivery tomorrow sometime, thus making it a 2 day delivery instead on a 24 hour one. I am concerned that it will be left unrefrigerated or allowed to get room temperature but have also read it can be at room temperature for a while and not loose its efficacy. I hate to refuse the shipment but don't want poor results from unkept product. Your Advice or experiences please!
