Hi all: I just started learning and using sculptra injectable at my practice. It is quite a tricky product to deal with, one which requires rigorous massage intervals, and intricate dilution method. The current guide line calls for dilution of 1 vial of sculptra with 6mL of sterile diluted water and 1-2mL of lidocaine. The 8mL solution is injected via 25 gauge needle to the deep dermal / periosteal layer of skin. Injection is followed by rigours massage (5 minutes, 5 times per day for 5 days) to prevent nodule formation. I've performed more than 60 liquid facelift procedures with Restylane touch / Vita without nodules or problems. Is sculptra that much superior to other filler agent? Does the 2 year neo-collagenesis property look as good as the promotional pictures? Anyone here prefers Sculptra over Radiesse or Restylane for liquid facelift? Just got done with the certification for sculptra injection and am formally selling sculptra in my practice. Sculptra is one expensive procedure. Results are visible months down the road similar to that of thermage or sciton skin tyte. Anyone have great success stories with sculptra they would like to share?

Dear Kenneth, I have been using sculptra in the US since 2005. I had one case of nodule formation in the temporal hollow(despite the fact that I injected deep with the depot technique). I guess the skin are too thin so don't try to use it there. Age of the patient is also very important. I did 5 vials on a 70 years old asian male and see no changes at all. I now prefer Radiesse over sculptra for liquid facelift.
