I recently attended Dr Patrick Bitter Jr's talk and he pesented his parameters that he uses for Asian Skin to treat pigmentary disorders.
general rule: 1-3 pulses over pigmented spot ( with pause in between pulses) using circular snap on adaptor
Skin type 1-2 : 515nm, 12-15J, 10 ms, 20 -25 deg,
Skin type 3 - 515nm, 12-15J,10-15 ms,20 deg,
Skin type 4 - 560nm, 10-15J, 10-15 ms, 20 deg
Skin type 5 - 590 nm, 10-15J, 10-15 ms, 20 deg
I haven't tried it myself. Will update if I get good results!

Hi Rebekah,
While the BBL does an extraordinary job on pigment in the lighter Fitzpatrick Skin Types (I-III, and a pretty decent job on a Type IV), there are other tools that are safer and much more effective for pigmented lesions on the darker Fitzpatrick Skin Type. If your goal is to provide the best and safest outcome for your patients, please refer the darker skin types to a facility that has a laser that is indicated for pigmented lesions in the darker Fitz, or research obtaining an additional laser for your practice.

I need advice. I have several patients I'm treating for brown spots on the face. On fair patients I'm doing great. But on Hispanic, Asians, Hawaiian and Japanese I'm having problems.
I have been using 560 nm, 515 nm, and even 590.
On some of those patients is very difficult to get those brown spots to lighten.
Any advises??
