Be wary. if she is making so much money then why not just rent some 400 sf office for a small monthly fee. I don't know where your practice is or if you are familiar with injectables but in todays market place when everyone and their brother took a botox course the profit margins are not there and god forbid she is importing Canadian etc.
Its a risk both financially and legally, she is practicing in your office and likely under your license because she can not buy these products without MD support.
50/50? what?
Why not give all?
35$ an hour plus 10% is more than generous.
She does not want it, then go somewhere else for suckers.

Hello,
Hoping for some advice on renumeration. I have a busy plastic surgeon practice. I was approached by a RN with many years experience performing injections. She is looking for a new place to practice and plans to bring her clients over. She says that currently she shares a 50/50 split of profile ({revenues - product cost}/2) and the business provides her space and office support for appointment bookings.
Here are my questions
- has anyone ever been in this situation? a nurse plans to bring over clients from their previous place of business? does this work out? i am slightly concerned about her brining business because what would she do with out clients if she leaves us...at the same time i like the idea of the revenue stream
- does 50/50 profit seem fair? this seems really high to me. i'd like to suggest something more like $35 per hour plus 10% of revenues...she is making so much money now on the format that she currently has that this may not seem attractive
- any advice for how to best manage this situation so that we can all be successful? ideally she would stay with us for a long time, we would refer new business to her, and she would refer surgical cases to us.
thank you
