I'm not that familiar with Palomar I looked up their stock chart and it's dropped from $40 to about $8 in the last two years. This doesn't seem like a good sign. Is there anyone that has done a comparison between this and the ActiveFX or DeepFX? Studies?
Dango MD,
I have treated several dozen patients with the 2940 fractional with the Palomar Starlux system. I have some great results that have produced similiar results to CO2 fractional competition with less downtime and erethyma. I have not done a side by side comparision on the fractional Erbium and fractional CO2. It is scary that the stock price is down so low.
I am a physician looking to buy a used starlux 500 or starlux 300 from another physician (no milddle men please) if anyone is selling theirs. I am looking for the following heads: R, Rx, G, 1064, 1540 and 2940 if you have a 500. Send me an e-mail if you are selling yours. thank you.

The Starlux fractional ablative lasers however require much less recovery time than the traditional non fractional erbium and CO2 ablative lasers which required weeks of recovery. Reliant, the company that makes Fraxel has released a new CO2 fractional laser called the Repair, Lumenis has released a CO2 fractional ablative laser called ActiveFX and DeepFx for Bridge Therapy, and Palomar has released the Starlux 2940, an Erbium fractional ablative skin resurfacing laser.
I'm deciding on some sort of fractional ablative laser and wanted to see if anyone has has experience with the Starlux 2940 Erbium Fractional?
