Kathryn: Your question is quite interesting-- because today MANY products designed and "invented" by American and European companies are actually "manfactured" in countries such as China, Malaysia, etc. Global manufacturing has blurred the definition of "manufacturer". You probably know, for example, that the iPAD, iPOD and most other famous American products are actually "manufactured" in China. The important thing to know about a laser, IPL or other aesthetic device you may be considering is the company you will be dealing with for regulatory, training and technical service issues. Where the device is actually assembled or "produced" is largely irrelevant.

Med Spa is right on. Most of the systems from all the major manufacturers have parts and assemblies made all over the world. Some of the manufacturing is done at the US assembly in Burlington Mass. I have visited the plant in Burlington years ago and have seen the "assembly line" at the Burlington facility. The biggest concern you should have on a system is the companies ability to service your system and support.
