Hello, I'm an RN in Michigan and I have been discussing with my brother (Whom has his bachelors in sales/marketing with a minor in business) about going into a business partnership for opening a medical spa in Michigan. We have been trying to figure out the fine details of what is really required and also legal in the state of Michigan. We have a doctor in our distant family who would be able to be our medical director. We also have two family members with there estheticians license and years of experience with lasers. However, I have read some documentation about management services organizations (MSO) and management service agreements (MSA) which would allow my brother and I to run the business without the requirement of the physician to be in house during treatment decisions and performance. However, the DR. would be considered a "medical director"? I was hoping if anyone here could let me in on some information regarding this matter.
