Again, the business you are talking about is the practice of medicine and that is why a medical professional must "sign off" on your work. They are basically putting their license on the line and its becoming harder to find someone to do this any longer since lawsuits are flourishing across the country.
It is important to speak with your medical board of licensure and find the exact regulation in NM.

I am a certified laser technician living in New Mexico. I am in the process of opening my own business. From what I understand New Mexicos law is You can have your own business ( instead of working inside a doctors office) but you must have a RN,MD,or NP sign off for you. It can be supervised or unsupervised (its up to the person that signs off. Does this sound correct? Thanks
