MEDICAL SPA MD FORUMS - MEMBER ONLY ACCESS FOR CLINICIANS IN NONSURGICAL COSMETIC MEDICINE - BECOME A MEMBER / IT'S FREE
Be sure you review not only the Board of Cosmetology Regs-but the Medical Board as well. In medical spas you may have two or three licensing agencies-and then there is the "facility" license versus the "professional license" fine print. Add that to the fine print in the liability insurance guidelines and you have a lot to look at!
Ebony offers sound advice. When you try to "get around" requirements-they usually bite you! Begin with your liability insurance carrier-and all the state boards. As a space renter-remember you are essentially a solo business simply renting space-you cannot count on the physician's office for any marketing support, referrals, etc.

I am considering taking space in a Doctor's office to do facial Aesthetics... Does anyone have any directives, suggestions, ways to set this up? I am also in NJ, and wonder how you get around the "booth" space rental terminology in the Law.
