Does anyone have experience with chinese IPLs? They have a cheap price, and a large supply. Like this company:

They are not FDA approved

I'll agree with Laser Clinic (BTW, like the name Laser Cinic)
The Chinese and Korean IPLs that you're getting spamming your email are generally not FDA approved in the US. I'd be surprised if any med spas or skin centers are actually using them.

Chinese machines are effective but lack the quality control of the USA makers. FDA510k is easy enough to apply for and is sufficient for owning/operating these machines here and in Canada as well. Our Chinese made machines are re-branded and remodeled with these QC requirements and have Canada safety and FDA approvals pending. It all boils down to affordability and the arrogant big boys will be soon joining the car dealers in Chapter 11 courts because they think that nowhere else can compete with their machines....a lesson they will soon learn is wrong.

What yoiu purchase is insurance, workmanship and reliabilty. Technical support, depot service, fast response time, parts availability, and good telephone helpful advice are part of the equation. Everything goes into the cost of the equipment. Generally speaking, you pay for what you get. I do not advocate buying the most expensive piece of equipment but you should think carefully buying the cheapest ones.

hi,witch pulslenght are the best

07.21 | Unregistered CommenterBeautyIPL

Pulse Lenghts should be selected depending on the type of Pulse technology used by the manufacturer.
for example, Most Salon / Spa grade IPLs use lower energy densities. say 7 to 19 joules/cm2. These brands normally recommend using short pulsewidths (which is easier to manufacture) and lower energy densities. They also recommend using 1 or 2 pulses per shot and several passes. They normally dont come with contact cooling. The Results are burned hair, which is impressive to patients. BUT the results are not long lasting and required between 8 to 12 sessions or even more.

On the otherhand, if you have a Sales Representative from Palomar in your area, ask for a demo. Tryout the LuxR or Lux Rs. Results are very impressive. the 100 msec pulse width gives great and long term results. The 100 msec on the Smooth Pulse technology of the palomar systems does not always "burn" the hair but they do fall out after a week. i have seen clearance in some patients in as little as 3 to 5 treatments. Treatment time for 2 armpits fall under 5 minutes.

On the other hand, i have tried chinese systems in the past, and have seen great results as well in up to skin type 4 patients. The cost of the Palomar may be 5x more than a chinese system but the ease of use, consistency of effect, comfort of the patient is really something else on a Starlux. I suggest you checkout the website of palomar.

The chinese have several companys of laser manufactures. Probably they even produce some of the laser machines of the greater international distributors. They have CE and ISO(or so they say). I dont know about them, so I want to know if someone has used some of them. The importation taxes to Brasil raises the price to 60% else, and the money here worths half of dollars. To buy a laser machine that costs 10.000 US dollars , that will go to 32.000 Reais (brazilian monetary unit.Starlux 500 costs the price of a 3 room apartment! If someone knows reliable companys in China, please post their names here. Thanks

GSD also offers great value for money. easy to use systems, long lasting, great workmanship inside and outside.

Peer, I bought a machine from Huamei 2 years ago and got TGA approval myself. It cost me $5000 Australian, a HUGE saving compared to the "brand name" machines out there.

My machine has been amazing, the support I received from China has been great, I email them when I need a new globe and they express post straight away. Hair removal results have been fantastic! I am soon to upgrade my machine with the same brand newer model.

I deal with a young man called Leo, he has always been so helpful and kind to me.

Given that IPL, in general, is more problematic than lasers, Chinese IPL is the last thing that anyone should buy. Even with reputable IPL, you can burn, hyperpigment, and cause all sorts of problems. Go with reliable system. If you cannot afford, you shouldn't buy one.

I agree with MS, who stated the clear facts very effectively in just a couple of sentences. IPL is bad enough, Chinese just compounds the risk. Not even worth being in the aesthetics business for that risk. Go with a YAG for versatile non-ablative services, and I recommend the one I found to be unusually gentle and also afforable, the Neo from Aerolase. Results are great and the company has been very supportive - from right here on our own soil!!!!

I have dealt with the chinese since they started manufacturing IPL'S, the older ones were a load of rubbish but they have improved over the years. They are cheap but you get what you pay for. The only way to go for hair removal is laser Alexandrite or Diode both have similar results. You can purchase a good diode out of Korea and they are using components out of Gemany same hand piece as Light sheer and a third of the price.

Hi i came across A-TONE IPL from AMT Korea. They claim it to be their best seller with an extra toning hand piece along with conventional IPL. To my surprise they have built the machine on totally opposite technology..eg if we increar the pulse duration ..the energy also increases and if we increase the no. pulses , the energy tripples up.... they told me this technology is rare and they have others also like this market.. Any comments ??
