Other IPL & Laser Technologies > Aerolase Vs Fotona Dynamis XP

I'm looking to buy my first laser for my medical aesthetics clinic and I'm feeling overwhelmed with all the different technologies out there. My current clientele is primarily acne, so it is very important to me that I am able to cater to them with something new and more effective. I want something that also does a good job treating pigmentation, vascularity, hair removal, and the scarring that acne leaves behind. Aerolase has shown up on my radar over and over as one of the best lasers for acne, but I am concerned at how slow it is on hair removal. I started looking into other options for that reason and was introduced to the Fotona Dynamis XP which apparently has similar capabilities in treating acne as the Aerolase with the same microsecond technology of .6ms. The Fotona also has more resurfacing and toning capabilities, offering more value and a slightly lower price point than the Aerolase (once converted to Canadian Dollar). Yet, i can hardly find testimonials, reviews and a variety of before and afters coming from the Fotona Dynamis XP.... meanwhile the Aerolase has A TON of great feedback!.....so I'm afraid. It's the first big purchase in my career, and I want to get it right. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Natasha, I’m not sure how old this post is, but I am in the same dilemma. I’m just curious which laser you purchased and how it’s working for you. Thank you, Angella from Premiere Aesthetics

The Fotona laser has 2 wavelengths and multiple pulses which makes it much more versatile and it is a more Reliable equipment. Aerolase is not as experienced as Fotona in Laser technology and even if you only compare the quality of both lasers you will notice the difference. I have both technologies in my practice and aerolase is a mistake i wish i never invested in.
