Other IPL & Laser Technologies > Fotona QX Max and Cynosure Picosure

I'm looking into purchasing a tattoo removal laser for a new clinic.

I did my research and believed the Fotona QX Max was by far the best choice. Until just recently I hadn't read a bad report on the company or equipment.

Now there seems to be a new contender in the market - Cynosure's Picosure.

There's a lot of hype around its 'picosecond' technology. Almost too much hype. Similar to the Soprano XL in its early days.

Does anyone have any feedback they could give, about the QX Max and/or the Picosure?

It'd be especially good to hear from someone who has had experience with both machines.

what makes you think the fotona qx max is the best in the market now?
have you considered the medlite? revlite? tri-beam? candela ATV? Quanta?
I have the hoya and the candela. Both are very good. The parameters and setting are pretty much well researched and defined.

Fotona is one of the best laser makers out there, but i do think the system is well over rated.

The Picosure is for real. Less treatments. Doesn't work on red's. The actual pulse duration is actually at 700 pico seconds. So very close to the nano second pulse range. I have not personally used the Fotona. So I cannot attest to how well it works. Most of my experience comes from the Revlite or Spectra. Spectra performance shines in comparison especially when you are on the 3-4 treatment. That's when you can clearly see a difference in reduction between the 2 systems.
