Other IPL & Laser Technologies > DERMAMED QUADRA Q4 IPL
Most important, be aware when comparing the features and "specs" of the 99 "IPL's" currently on the market that there are vast differences between the various models. Generally- but not always- these variations explain the also wide ranges of sale prices for the units. It has been my experience that IPL's - such as the Quadra 4 (also known as the "iPulse" in Europe)- which do NOT have direct contact epidermal cooling and a variety of cut-off filter selections - will not give you the performance or efficacy that the more sophisticated devices will give you. Arrange for a demonstration of the four leading IPLs and you will see what I mean. Also pay close attention to the number of pulses you will receive before having to replace flashlamps (or hand pieces) and the cost each time this is done. You need to establish the "total cost of ownership" for the device based on the number of treatments you plan to perform over the next three years. The differences you will find from device to device will astonish you. Most people who purchase don't do their homework.
