I just got an IPL that also has a YAG handpiece. Should I get and use corneal shields for all photofacials, or only when I'm really close to the eyes? Currently I use sticky IPL Shields over eyes plus a patient eye cover on top. The metal shields seem like they could scratch the corneas themselves, and I don't know if they will be very hard to take in and out. They would probably make the procedure much more uncomfortable, but if they are necessary I will get them. Also curiuos how best cleaned, and where best place is to get them.
