Patient came in with chief complaint of multiple warts on her face. She has tried microdermabrasion and salicylic acid treatments, to no avail. What can you recommend?

Have you tried Aldara? If it's multiple warts you may be dealing with immune dysregulation, and Aldara can help, just as with plantar or genital warts.

Try DNCB (dinitro-chloro-benzene) tx. Apply the acid directly to the wart repeatedly. So far, I'm seeing more progress than with anything else we've tried.

Does anyone have any treatment pearls for treating "flat warts" on the face? I have spoken with people in Thailand and the Philippines who use either special tools or cautery to get rid of them..... Does anyone know of a device that works well?

I've been using Cimetidine (Tagamet) 400 mg twice a day for months. Seems to zap away all my flat warts. It has a very interesting moa that involves blocking H2 inhibition of T-cells.
