In your experience, what is the safest, most effective minimally invasive liposuction device (Vaser, Smart Lipo, Tickle)?

I have used SmartLipo, Vaser and TickleLipo. I have found the TickleLipo device to be the most versatile for my scope of practice. The procedure is well tolerated in the awake patient and results are more impressive in areas with a higher density of connective tissue. Post-operatively, we strongly recommend a series of lymphatic massages and all patients receive two Venus Freeze treatments over the TickleLipo areas with additional treatments encouraged to enhance skin tightening and speed the recovery process.

Can you go into some detail as to why you prefer TickleLipo over other methods?

Why does nobody speak of SlimLipo? I find this an excellent way to practice a true lipolaser under local anesthesia without limits of age and on relaxed skin.

I have used Smartlipo for 5 years. The new wavelength of 1320 combined with the traditional 1640 really speeds up the process. With either system I and my patients are happy with the results. The advantage of the dual wavelength laser is the speed to achieve lipolysis and the target skin temp of 40C. I use no power assist and no more than a 4mm cannula. The results are great without dimpling or cannula tracks and bruising post op is rare. Do I spend extra time lasering? Sure, but I would rather take the time to get the great results. I am very careful about patient selection. If someone has more than localized adiposity or expresses a desire to loose weight, they are not my ideal patient. All of my patients are awake with tumescent anesthesia. I rarely have anyone who reports pain (intermittent) above a 4. Many patients will actually fall asleep during the procedure. There are many Smartlipo lasers out there on the market that can be had for substantially less than the new prices.

All these devices referred to should not be referred to as Liposuction devices because they are not suction devices. They assist you in your Liposuction procedures and in fact if you wish to get better results and results that can be noticed by the patient within the first week and wish to achieve long term results you need to perform suction assisted fat removal as well ie Liposuction. Ideally those who use such devices should also be competent in Liposuction and be properly trained in the procedure. As in carpentry if you wish to use an electrical device like an electric plane or an electric saw etc you need to be competent in carpentry before you start buying one of these equipment.

How safe are Vaser and laser in megaliposuctions?

Vibrations are a distressing factor in tickle liposuction otherwise its excellent.I am happy and deliver excellent results with tumuscent liposuction,vaser is good for certain areas like chin,calf etcIam unconvinced about laser liposuction.
