Has anyone tried the Dermasound Elite sold by GlyMed Plus? Would love to hear any of your thoughts or comments about it? Thanks!

I have used a few different machines, in my few years as an esthetician. I feel as if the Dermasound Elite machine has so much to offer. The part that I love the most is that you are able to use this on any skin type. I feel that it does wonders for acne and congested skin. I own a microdermabrasion machine, and though I love this machine, I always wish that I could use it for my acne clients, and if I did it all over again, I would have invested into a Dermasound over a microdermabrasion machine. I have received a Dermasound treatment multiple times, and love the results that I can see and feel after it is done. Your skin is less congested, more hydrated and radiant. I think it is a great investment, that your clients will absolutely love. There are 3 modalities on the machine, all are completed with the same hand piece. You will use this machine to exfoliate the surface of the skin, penetrate products deeper into the skin, as well as repair and re-balance the cells. I personally couldn't speak any higher of this machine!

I would definitely have to agree the DermaSound Elite is non-invasive and provides instant results with no down time. I love that you can use it on all Fitzpatrick types and skin conditions. The DermaSound does all the work and has little clean up. As an esthetician that is very important because time is money. It is by far my favorite to use on my clients and myself as well. No one is ever disappointed

I have used the Dermasound quite often. I use it in most of the facials that I perform. This exfoliates the skin and penetrates products. I use it on all of my acne clients because it makes extractions a lot easier.

I have been wondering about this piece of equipment myself. Can anyone tell me what makes it so much better and cheaper than BT micro or other "ultra sonic scrubbers". Dermasound is very expensive compared to similar equipment.

A couple more questions for those who use the Dermasound. What kind of training do you get with the purchase? Do you use only water for the exfoliation modality or do you incorporate a products? and if so what type of product?

The main difference between a handheld device and the Dermasound, is the fact that you just can't produce as much power with something that is operated by a battery, vs. something that you plug into the wall. Something that I would consider is the testing and certification that the device offers. The Dermasound Elite is FDA certified, which means that the FDA has approved that the machine is effective. I think there are a lot of devices out there, and I think it all comes down to research and making sure that you aren’t buying a device that isn’t going to deliver results, or one that you will have to replace often.

When you purchase a Dermasound, you will get an instructional DVD. You will also get a manual that will help you with the settings and protocols. The nice thing is, that any of the reps at the GlyMed corporate office can assist you as well. They are all trained on the Dermasound, and are all Licensed Master Estheticians.

When you are using the Cavitation or the Exfoliation modality, you will use distilled water. The water does all of the work for you, you hardly use any pressure on the hand piece.

I purchased a cheap knockoff for home use and the high pitched noise scares my dogs. I would like to try the Dermasound and compare the 2.

You use distilled water for the exfoliation process. On the second modality you penetrate in anti oxidants and other healing products. I have used a cheaper Ultra Sonic machine in the past and the products never penetrated fully. I felt like it just pulsed on the skin, and slid over the products. I had training at Glymeds training class.

Dermasound caused me to have a nerve irritation in my skin. It has been three years and I am still suffering.
