Wow, angry people.
We use SKinMedica peels, we do not carry the Illuminize peel, its worthless, you don't even "peel" with it.
We carry the vitalize and rejuvenize peels, they are the exact same peel (ingredients wise), they may have dif percentages, but who knows because it's protected by their proprietary rights. We have tried to get the percentages and you can't. They are basically a Jessner Peel in a more convient form. (individual application bottles). They also have you purchase Retinoic Acid sep from a pharm that they have approved, to apply post peel, I believe this promotes the actual "peeling" or gives people the wow effect they are looking for after a peel. These have a high price point, $130 for Vitalize and $250 for Rejuv, but they are nice peels. We are happy with them, but do offer many specials on them.

I'm with Shanna. LOVE Vitalize Peel. Great results after 3-4 treatments. Time efficient and cost effective. I would NOT start a newbie on this peel though because the heat can be quite dramatic for some.
Other peels I'd investigate are the whole range of PCA Peels (Physician's Care Alliance). I like the Sensi Peel as a starter peel. Get great results from their clarifying mask (20% sali). Most peels are self nuetralizing and can actually be layered with other cream based peels. The companies customer service is unparalleled as all customer support are licensed estheticians that know patient selection, protocol, and the line like the back of their hand.
Skinceauticals has just merged with BioMedic (a past affiliate of La Roche Posay). Our practice is considering bringing on their new MicoPeel protocols which included dermablading(planing), peel application, and dry ice antibac treatment. I worked with this line 6 years ago and really enjoyed giving the treatment and the results it produced.
In agreement that the Illumize is a waste of time.
Allergan's Vivite is a great starter peel and a nice add/on to those already using the Vivite skincare line.
I'm investigating the Vi Peel. Any users out there?
Cosmedix seems to have a neat lineup of more superficial peels like all the blueberry...smoozeberry type stuff. But hey...depending on your practice this might be what sells. If you're going that route also check out Sircut Skin. They seem to have some neat novelty-esque peels.
I am not a fan of Skinceauticals gel peels, but then again, I tend to be a more aggressive clinician. So these may be a great 'sensitive skin' option for some.
I know Glo Therpeautics has quite a few new peels out. I just can't shake my judgement that they are more of a 'salon' type line than medical spa though. Correct me if I"m wrong...lol. I want to be able to use their line because they have so many neat niche products, but I have a sneaking suspicion they're just not medically based enough.
I like the Theraplex peel kits too. Very cost effective and they come in individual treatment pouches.

I was speaking with a new client yesterday and said she received a "great" peel that gave her excellant results, and that on day 4 she had sheets of skin come off. She mentioned that day 4 was used in the promotion of the service???? Has no idea what line. Does Obagi have a peel besides the Blue Peel? Because she thought it may be Obagi line....HELP if you have any suggestions

Obagi just came out with the Blue Radiance Peel. It is basically a 20% salicylic peel with glycolic and lactic acid. It is proprietary so they will not disclose the %'s of glycolic and lactic :(. I feel the peel is nice but it is nothing to write home about!

The physician I just started working with uses the PCA Line and then he also offers the Perfect Peel. I'm a little scared of this peel. I have never used it. No classes to take. No pre treatment either. Has anyone else used the Perfect Peel by Bella Medical Products?

No but I found that peels that do not have regular courses like PCA does often have educational videos. Provided you know the basics of peel application these videos come in handy to teach you the basic nuances to that new peel. I would call the company and see what they offer.
