Dear C Lee. I hope you still here.. I forgot to give you my email before: just_glory@yahoo.com. It will be very nice to share infos and knowledge with you. Btw, I also found quite good result with SR/ refirme head (I am working with fitzpatrick skin type 3-5 ). Ematrix works very nice with consistant result and minimum downtime on scars, aging skin and big pores. I am very cautious though using SR and DS head because several mild burns. I hope I can improve the technique and result with emax. Thanks alot

Recently I used the Syneron ELOS ST Refirme on a patient's face, skin type 3. Settings were 90 J/cm3, cooling strong. Ultrasound gel was applied. The hand piece tip was held firmly against the skin. 6 passes were completed in a series of 6 in a rectangular pattern. She received burns to her cheek. On day 2 her cheek was very swollen and oozing. Please let me know if you have seen the same.

Indicator reading may be wrong. Please do check the water level of your system. You may be running dry or water level is low thus not cooling the crystal of your st handpiece.

For ST you need to put 2 or 3 times more UH gel. If you make a line with TS then with anther hand you need to spread the gel pack. two little gel was the problem. It is the most difficult handpice to use and treat the left side of the face if you are right handed . tire it your self in front of the mirror, you will notice and feel that if there is not enough gel it will burn.

I had beginning rosacea that I wanted laser treatment for. Was directed by a doctors office to a med spa in my area who used the Elos system. I did not want radio frequency. Was told I needed full face and that this wasn't radio frequency. 1st treatment was good, I thought there was some improvement. Second treatment nothing noticeable as far as changes. 3rd treatment seemed OK but that evening after washing my face, I looked up to see stripes/ridges on one cheek and a circle indention on the other cheek with center tissue raised. Panicking I put cold compress on my face and went to bed. Went to spa next day and they denied any wrongdoing however noted they had turned up strength from 21 to 23. The stripes and circle went almost away, however the pouchy puff of tissue is faintly visible on one cheek. Over time I have lost fat volume both ckeeks with deep tear troughs which I didn't have before. If there was a class action suit against Elos, I'll happily sign on. I'm very careful about what I do to my body but I feel very mislead by both the spa and Elos marketing. Oh, and the rosacea remains.
