Every state has very specific guidelines regarding the scope of practice for RN/LVN/NP and who can open and operate a medical spa. If you reach out to I may be able to offer some state specific insight. Just FYI- while every NP has added authority- not all states recognize what is called "Full Practice" so depending on the state you may or may not be able to function independently.

I am a licensed esthetician and a LPN, im looking to go into business for myself running a small spa that also offers injectables. I am planning on taking an injectors course that is desiged for nurses and doctors, but was wondering do I need to become an RN to achieve this goal of having my own spa? I am tapped out on the idea of going back to school as I would have to start totally at the beginning. Any suggestions? I know that I would have to find a medical director for my small business but is me being an LVN a problem???
