Solta: Thermage & Fraxel > Fraxel SR 750--Has anyone tried using mineral oil instead of the blue dye
Interesting as removing the blue dye takes up 15 to 20 minutes. Have you run this past your local rep or trainer?
We have one, and if mineral oil would work instead of the blue dye, I'd be all for it.
I was under the impression that it wasn't just for tracking; that the "blue" part was necessary (although they have a new model that does not require any blue dye)
Probably wouldn't prove useful to talk to the local rep. I'm sure the answer would be, "We can only recommend using the blue dye per company protocol."
I guess the question here is: Is "blue" important?
Well, it seems to fire just fine. I am thinking of trying anhydrous glycerin as well--as long as there is no H20 in the solution, it should be fine I think---anyone????
Sorry about the spello on the last post! HI I am a derm and acquired a very nice used Fraxel SR 750 and just had it serviced and am ready to start using it. Has anyone used theirs with plain mineral oil as the tracking gel rather than the blue dye? It seems to fire just fine and leaves a pink edematous trail to show where I've been. Any pointers.?
Also, I would love for anyone who still uses the 750 to send me some of their favorite protocols and their least favorite pitfalls!
