I'm a physician (not specialized in dermatology or plastic surgery) who has an interest in comsetic medicine. I've been to a few weekend workshops and have visited a high-end salon/spa in town that may be interested in getting me to come in 1 day or 1 1/12 days/week to do botox injections.
I have experience in a few of the other cosmeceutical procedures, but not botox.
How should I get started to train? Call the allergan rep or hook up with another physician in town to train?
One model that's been proposed by another physician is a 50-50 split b/w me and the spa (after subtracting the cost of the botox and supplies).
It's also the spa's responsibility to line up patients and there are some physicians that charge an additional 'fee' to the spa.
Advice/comments/suggestions? Thanks.
