MEDICAL SPA MD FORUMS - MEMBER ONLY ACCESS FOR CLINICIANS IN NONSURGICAL COSMETIC MEDICINE - BECOME A MEMBER / IT'S FREE
Because PCOS is a constant I give a 50% discount explaining this will only keep things controlable.
If you wish to be ethical, you should not offer hair removal services for PCOS patients before their hormones are brought under control. They are what many would consider 'easy money' since they are very hairy and it will always grow back. I've had a large number of them turn up at my clinic with multiple scars due to the sheer number of times they have gone for laser treatments.
Most of the time, once their hormones are controlled, up 80-90% of the hairs become much less noticeable. I haven't had a single client request for hair removal after 6 months of hormone optimization. Not only that, it helps with their general well being and fertility as well. If after optimization, patient still would like hair removed, you can do so then with a clear conscience and it will require much fewer sessions, saving the patient time and money.
