I have worked with the Chromotest since 1999. While it does provide a number matching the darkness of the measured skin it does not distinguish between reds, browns, and ethnic color versus tan. I have also never seen an accurate scale of measurement versus safe clinical settings with any device.
Sounds like a good idea but it has never been fully developed.

Does anyone know where I can purcahse a chromotest instrument that helps determine skin color classification? Thank you!
