Other IPL & Laser Technologies > Your thoughts on Lutronic eCO2 v. Mosaic CO2

I recently was at a tradeshow and heard about the new Mosaic CO2 from Lutronic, Is it me or does it look a whole lot like the eCO2. Can anyone explain to me what I get for the extra money of the eCO2?

Its the exact same piece of equipment. It is a software downgrade. Once you buy it they will even ofer an in office upgrade.

Lutronic's eCO2 and Mosaic CO2 are very similar in looks and efficacy except for some very substantial differences. Which one is best for you will depend upon several factors (cost and features being the most obvious).
-The eCO2 is now the eCO2 premium (and Plus) which has been revised with a very efficient air cooled, ceramic/metallic, RF excited laser tube and is the companies flagship CO2 product. The Mosaic CO2 uses the standard water cooled, glass tube, DC excited power supply.
-eCO2 has multiple spot sizes available to be changed "on the fly" during each procedure to completely customize the procedure's density or coverage and depth of penetration (120u, 300u and 1000u which can cover from 25% up to 130%) whereas the M-CO2 utilizes only the 120u spot size.
-eCO2 now has the capability of adding Lutronic's precision surgical hand-pieces to the Premium unit (calling it the "plus") to allow for more effective surgical procedures. The eCO2 always had the cutting/excision capability but only through the scanner hand-piece which is somewhat bulky for this application). The M-CO2 will not have this capability.
-The eCO2 will always be the most upgradable platform and the best option for someone who doesn't like or wants to guard against obsolescence. There is a very easily accessible USB upgrade port on the eCO2 for all future software upgrades.
-eCO2 has the most energy per spot (or MAC; micro-ablative column) of up to 240mJ whereas the M-CO2 has up to 160mJ.
-Lutronic have been making a CO2 laser for well over a decade with lots of experience. They also have Surgical and Dental divisions too and so are not a one trick pony!
-The eCO2 (and subsequently the M-CO2) were built from the ground up to offer the most flexible, efficacious and modern fractional CO2 treatments available anywhere for a the best value!
I hope this clears this up for you. I am available via email to answer any other questions you may have.
Cheers,
Laser Guy
