Have a look at DDC Technologies Polylase Alexandrite laser, Manufactured in New York. Excellent results for Hair removal.

I've been an Aesthetician for 30-years in Derm. and Plastic Surgery offices. I have been fortunate enough to work with all of the brands you mentioned (and one you didn't). Syneron and Candela have merged so they are one in the same and Candela has always been my favorite. My second favorite is the Sciton laser. Just make sure you get a multi-platform devise in order to promote a wide variety of services. These devices are my favorite because they are the most effective and deliver results as 'painlessly' as possible. - Lumenis is my least favorite as their equipment generally requires maintenance which is neither quick in response and usually very costly.

@Michelle, what about Palomar?

Med Spa Guy will you send me the info that everyone else is getting? I'm looking for a new laser for hair removal as well. I have been using Candela and have several of their lasers but I do not like to pay for the consumables that they use. I'm leaning towards the Cynosure Elite because of the Cryo 5 cooling device. I now have an employee telling me that she thinks that the Luminous Duet is the best laser out there because of the large spot sizes. So I'm looking for unbiased opinion about lasers and some clinical studies to back up what is being said. I don't want any info from any sales reps you guys a full of crap. jtokey@gmail.com

If you're looking for the best Alex laser on the marketplace, consider Light Age, Inc. Their LPX offers 100 W of average power -- at the handpiece -- making it almost twice as powerful as Candela and Cynosure lasers, and more powerful than that DDC thing mentioned above. Unlike the Gentlelase, the LPX offers a flat top beam profile. It's also the fastest laser. For laser hair removal treatments, it produces a true 3 Hz. I say "true" Hz, as you may actually want to check the actual pulse rate claimed by other manufacturers - which are usually 20% less that their stated rate. For pigmented lesions, the laser will pulse as fast as 10 Hz. Needless to say, the LPX has a variable pulse duration so you can safely and most effectively treat skin types I - IV. Any rate, I own three of them - and before investing over a quarter million dollars in lasers for hair removal, I'm 100% certain I have the best. If you have questions regarding alex and Nd: YAG lasers on the marketplace, I'm more than happy to share my insights. HOWEVER, as much as I love talking about lasers, I don't have time to teach you everything!!! If you can solve this equation, feel free to shoot me a note at medicaljd@gmail.com. --- 100 W / 2.4 Hz / 2.54 cm^2 = ???

Hi Med Spa Guy,
I am also opening a medical spa really soon and I need to decide on the best laser system. Could you please email me the same information that you are sending people on the laser comparison? Miss.Lnguyen905@hotmail.com
THANKS Med Spa guy!

No one has really responded to all of these questions. I too am looking for a new laser that does everything. Can anyone post, that may have gotten information? I currently have a 2005 palomar 500 but want to get something new. The palomar does have great results but is too expensive to keep up with over the years if you drop the insurance. (which is super expensive as well) I heard that it is less expensive these days to get a new laser than to buy new hand pieces for the palomar. I need someone who IS NOT a sales rep to respond!

HI medspaguy - can you please send me the infomation your sending Jim Bird ? Thank you very much /

If you would like the perspective of someone who sells, repairs, and offers warranties on a variety of used equipment- that is, an unbiased technical opinion, feel free to contact me through email. I am willing to answer any questions.

Medspaguy: would you send the information to me as well. thanks!
sgreen@estudysite.com

Hi Mickey. I'm trying to decide between a refurbished Sciton profile system and Luminis one. I've heard for the sciton it is very difficult to get your hands on parts if it needs repairing. Is this true and if so would the Luminis one be a good choice to go for. Could you please send me your opinion to ron_m58@yahoo.com. Thanks

Hello, I'm trying to decide between DDC Polylace LP, Cynosure Elite+ and Candela. If anyone has any kind of info to help me, please e-mail me in elinahov@yahoo.gr

12.23 | Unregistered CommenterEleni

Candela has been around for a while now.
The after market service and parts are more readily available than cynosure and many other companies.
The established parameters and setting will assure shorter learning curve.
Sometime, the after sales services is the deciding factor in making the right decision.
