Esthetician & Skin Care Products > Fair Medspa Manager Pay
it depends on a lot of factors. Take into consideration the following factors: how big is the medspa? where is its location? how many employees do they currenlty have? do you have an idea of the job description? good luck1
It would be nice to get a list of details about the position from the employer and then you can calculate your responsibilities individually so you feel better prepared to negotiate.
It really does depend on the area- Please let us know where you are located.
Also:
-Are you a medical esthetician yourself?
-If no, what type of background do you have that will make you qualified to manage them and most importantly to ensure adherance to the protocols the medical director sets? that will also help to determine what your "worth" is to the practice.
-When I have managed medspas in the past, I typically asked for a base salary and then a % of the overall business per month. So you will need to know what their average ***profit*** (ask for a ball park) is per month and what their growth expectations are.
I would wait for them to approach you first with a number and negotiate from there. I have heard of anything from 45K to 150K depending on the % of profit you are able to negotiate.
It is riskier to go into a brand new practice but if you are savvy about marketing and sales consultations, that is really where you can make the biggest impact and reap the highest reward.
A more established practice may only require minimal marketing for patient turnover and will have lower expectations for their manager and with that- lower pay.
best of luck!
Usually, when I work in a plastic surgeon's office, I get a 50/50/ split and 20% on retail.
Can anyone pls provide info on pay structure for a medical aesthetician medspa manager? I honestly don't know what to ask for or even what's fair.
